Narongdet Kangkon and Banlue Nakprakhong of Thailand took the guys’ gold with the aid of topping Japanese qualifier Yuya Ageba and Nobuaki Taira, 19-21, 22-20, 15-8, in the 4-day match prepared by using the Beach Volleyball Tournament.

The Thais rallied within the 2D set after their combatants first reached the championship factor to force a decider, which they dominated.

In the semifinals, Japan triumphed in a 2nd consecutive Beach World Tour women’s gold inside the Philippines as Ishitsubo and Shiba swept Brittany Kendall. Stefanie Weiler of Australia, 21-16, 21-17, and Sakurako and Kumada crowned Tjasa Jancar and Tjasa Kotnik of Slovenia, 21-15, 18-21, 19-17.

Kendall and Weiler nipped Jancar and Kotnik, 24-26, 21-13, 15-thirteen, to assert third place.

The Philippines matched its fifth-place finish in the Manila Open last year in Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons’s back.

The country has proven an improvement in the Beach World Tour, with Bea Tan and Dij Rodriguez also making it to the Round of 12, even as Jackie Estoquia and DM Demontaño set up a difficult fight towards the difficult Russian pair of Ekaterina Filing and Ekaterina Zazhigina earlier than exiting in pool play.
